Miserden Estate

Miserden is a family-run, rural estate overlooking the Golden Valley in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the Cotswolds.

The estate encompasses 850 acres of woodland, farmland and gardens providing a sanctuary for wildlife and a tranquil escape to allow you to spend time with your family and friends.

At Miserden they take pride in our collaborative relationship with the local community, many of whom are directly involved in everyday life on the estate. The Garden, Farming and Forestry have historically provided the backbone of the estate but more recently the introduction of The Nursery with a beautifully ornate café set inside an old Edwardian greenhouse have made Miserden a go-to destination for plant and coffee lovers alike.

The Estate aims to continually adapt to the world around it, allowing Miserden to successfully overcome the challenges faced by traditional estates. One such initiative is a new biomass scheme which provides a more affordable and environmentally sustainable heating source to local homes and businesses.

By visiting Miserden, you help to preserve this iconic landscape, ensuring it can be enjoyed by generations to come.  For more information about Miserden and whats on please visit the website here.

The Nursery at Miserden

The Nursery at Miserden is a traditional independent nursery offering a truly inspiring and comprehensive range of plants in a beautiful location high up in the Cotswold Hills.

Just a short drive from Cirencester, Stroud and Cheltenham, The Nursery’s magnificent period glasshouses form a spectacular backdrop to a collection of plants, but also conjure up the atmosphere of a bygone age.

Along with The Nursery’s unique location, it is the unusual choice of plants that set us apart. We are particularly proud of our herbaceous perennials which have been grown on site (a giddy 800 feet up) with oodles of passion and care. So not only will you know where your new plants have been raised, you can be sure they are tough and hardy and used to the local climate.

To complement our perennials, The Nursery also offers superb David Austin roses, alpines, clematis and climbers, ferns, herbs, shrubs, regal and scented pelargoniums and bedding plants.
